My Favorite Restorative Yoga Playlist for Anxiety

Music is such a big part of my teaching and my practice. Music has such a power over our nervous system, and it has the ability to put us into an excitatory state, or to ease us into relaxation.

One of my favorite things is to search for the most relaxing music for my own home practice and my classes. I regularly have students asking me what songs I play so that they can listen to them at home.

So today, I thought I’d share some of my favorite songs for rest, relaxation, and restoration. These are wonderful songs to put on whenever you’re stressed, anxious, or can’t fall asleep.

You can find the playlist on iTunes here.

  • Om- Nadaka
One of my absolute favorite songs to use during savasana. So relaxing!
  • Shanti (Peace Out)- MC YOGI
  • Breathing In- Craig Kohland & Shaman’s Dream
  • Storm of Prayers- Craig Kohland & Shaman’s Dream
  • Mother’s Wingspan- Ben Leinbach
  • Jane Winther- Om Mani Padme Hum 1
This song is the one I most often get asked about by my students. It’s so haunting and beautiful
  • Angel Love- Aeoliah
This song has such a positive, uplifting feel to it. It makes me feel like I’m wrapped in love.
  • Fade- Heinali
  • Soothing Beach Waves- Ocean Waves
I have a love/hate relationship with ocean waves to be honest. I have some ocean wave songs that are just not relaxing at all, but these are incredibly soothing.

What about you guys? What are your favorite songs to put on when you want to relax??
